Festivals in the Cotswolds


The popular Tewkesbury Food and Drink festival is once again returning to enjoy it's 4th year in the town. The festival gives both visitors and residents a chance to peruse and sample locally produced items. Hosting a range of activities and delights, the Food Festival aims to capture the "foodie" spirit of the county and is definitely an event for all. Sway along to lively music and fill your bags with local goodies - we're sure we have plenty to tickle your taste buds! Stall Holder

The festival line-up this year includes:

  • The Food Hall - A feast of over 60 regional producers will be waiting for you to sample and buy their delicious fare. Produce ranges from: sweet treats; delicatessen items; meats; wine, beer and ciders, and much more;
  • Cookery Theatre - A series of live cookery demonstrations from both local and celebrity chefs will entertain the crowds. Along with these they'll be a a range of activities for all taking place;
  • This year we will be joined by celebrity chef Paul Rankin - Paul is well known for his appearances on Saturday Kitchen and Ready Steady Cook and has become a fixture in our culinary culture. A campaigner for better food within the care industry and with his own range of foods and cookware he is a welcome addition this year. Paul will join us on Saturday 4th May at various times throughout the day.;
  • The Cotswolds Chef - Once again we'll be joined by Rob Rees, the champion of the Cotswold food and drink circuit. Rob brings his friendly and effervescent personality to the festival and he's always a big hit!;
  • Food is Art - The flamboyant Prudence Emma Staite returns this year showcasing her amazing chocolate art. Demonstrations will be given throughout the two days and Prudence will be talking about what inspires her to create such wondrous items.

Other activities include:
Fruit and Veg Stall

  • Medieval cookery demonstrations;
  • Food and drink tasting;
  • Various competitions for adults and children;
  • Children's activities and games including a treasure trail; vegetable Olympics; face painting; crafty workshops and general good fun!
  • Music and entertainment.

Awaken Your Senses We are proud to announce that the Tewkesbury Spring Festival will be taking place again in 2008 during the Spring Bank Holiday in May. A variety of sensory events will run throughout the town ensuring there is something for all. A mix of theatre; dance; music and light entertainment will bring a fabulous atmosphere to Tewkesbury.
